Sunflower seeds and some vegan pizza. WHAT. I need to buy stuff. Excited to try out Stefi's suggestion of vegan frozen yogurt.

Day Four of Vegan Living

Did you know Tobey Maguire is a vegan? <3

Here's a photograph of him pondering his arachnid-inspired costume. He turned to the light of veganism in 2009, so hopefully it'll encourage him to stop exploiting spiders and quit making those God-awful spidey movies.

Today I ate granola with soy milk. It was d'liteful! And for lunch/dinner, I had peperoncinis. I'm kind of running out of vegan food, but that's okay. All that soy was making me a little obese around the edges.

WORK IT OUT.

Day Three of Vegan Living

Cool cool cool. So my mom is being pretty supportive about this vegan business and she made me some special cashew cheeze to ease my cravings for cow lactate. I should've taken pictures as it looks very intriguing, but I have to go to class in a few minutes so I don't have time at the moment.

Today I ate a flat bread filled with lettuce and a little bit of that crazy cashew cheeze. Also sriracha sauce. And later I had some tomato-like veggie soup. And then I went crazy and had two squares of dark chocolate. Oy vey!! And yes, the chocolate was vegan (except that it's made on equipment shared with dairy products, but who really cares!)

I'm skipping dinner tonight because I was rather naughty with that chocolate! Also because I watched America's Next Top Model (awful mind-numbing show) and felt crappy about myself.

MY STOMACH IS A CIRCUS.

Day Two of Vegan Living

Dear blog,

Today I ate a glass of soy milk for breakfast. For lunch it was half of a lentil lettuce wrap and a clif bar. Then I ate another clif bar. Then I ate the rest of the wrap for dinner and a piece of flat bread with hummus on it.

DELICIOUS.

Day One of Vegan Living

Hello lovelies. Today was my first day of "vegan living," and I'm already excited for the changes that are about to take place in my tummy!

I started off my morning with sunflower seeds and whole wheat flat bread with jalapeno & cilantro hummus. Figured I'd start out with a bang to keep the momentum going!

Then I celebrated lunch (in my opinion, every meal should be a celebration!) with a stir fry veggie wrap, some vitamin E tablets, and a spot of soy milk. The veggie wrap included some lettuce, carrots, mushrooms, yellow bell peppers, and sriracha! I didn't know sriracha was vegan, but apparently it is according to the internet! I think this is going to be a fun three weeks!

As far as the vitamin E tablets are concerned, I don't really know what they do. But I'm sure I'll need plenty of them since I'll be lacking in all the nutritious yum tum tummies I normally absorb from dead animals! I decided to go easy on the soy milk because, quite frankly, that stuff'll make you explode if you aren't careful!

Tonight I will probably have some variation of today's breakfast and lunch since I didn't really buy anything else yet. But if I find myself craving anything else, I'll just douse those cravings with diet coke. YES, DIET COKE IS VEGAN!! And it's actually really good for you, despite what those naysayers tell you. The side of the bottle says it contains 30mg of sodium, whatever that is. I'm sure your body needs it for a fully-balanced diet! VIVA DIET COKE!

mmmMMMMmmmm,

Ivy

Welcome to Vegan Living

Hi, welcome to my new blog at tastegoody.blogspot.com. Unfortunately the username tastygoody was taken, so I had to settle for something a little "alternative." But I guess "alternative" is what we're all about here at Vegan Living, so get ready for some deliciously alternative "meals!"

Let me first introduce myself and what this blog is about. Hi, my name is Ivy and I'm trying to get into shape via the vegan "taste" challenge set forth by Bob Marley and Yoko Ono in 1973. Maybe I will also discover my newfound respect for animals and insects and their by-products along the way! The goal of this blog is to keep me on check as I venture into the realm of chard and soy joy! I plan on "going veg"an for three weeks. And then it's back to sweet meats and honey ambrosia for me!

THAT IS, UNLESS I'M ETHICALLY CHANGED BY MY NEW DIET.

And that's pretty much my hook here at Vegan Living. Watch me whip into shape/MAYBE CHANGE MY OUTLOOK ON LIFE. Enjoy.
